CHRISTMAS IN ROSES 2020-2021

The three activities that made Christmas in Roses 2020-2021 something magical, while maintaining its essence, deserve recognition and a special thanks in our blog. Roses Town Council and the Department of Culture and Festivals managed to plan an authentic Christmas, organising a concert, a letter collection and a Real camp, activities that were perfectly adapted to the difficulties of the moment and respected the anti-covid security and hygiene measures. The Christmas Concert took place in the Municipal Theatre by the Hirundo Maris group, a musical group founded in 2009 by the Catalan harpist and singer Arianna Savall and the Norwegian tenor and violinist Petter Udland Johansen, who have dedicated themselves to music composed from the Middle Ages to the Baroque, and who now bring us joy in music in times of pandemic. The royal postman and the Miftal tree were set up at the entrance to the Roses Municipal Theatre so that all the children could leave their letters, until the arrival of the most magical night of the festival: on 5th January everyone was waiting impatiently to see how the parade and the welcome for the Three Kings would be different. The Real camp was held in the incomparable setting of the Ciutadella de Roses, a resounding success that all the residents of Roses liked, and in which some 2,000 people attended, the limit that had been established. All our team wishes you that Christmas in Roses 2020-2021, as far as possible, has brought moments of happiness and emotions. We are sure that for all the families it has been a delicate days. That is why our letter to the Three Magis King was simple and clear: "May this New Year be filled with hopes and moments shared with our/your family. May we soon feel again, close to us, a hug from our mother, brother, aunt or grandfather. For a 2021 without distances".
